Role Overview
Act as a primary producer, managing and expanding sales opportunities
Lead complex sales cycles with CIOs, PMs, analysts, and procurement teams.
Demonstrate best‑in‑class sales behaviors—prospecting, positioning, objection handling, and closing—so the team can model successful approaches.
Identify new business opportunities and emerging client needs within the institutional research ecosystem.
Represent the firm’s forensic research capabilities in client meetings, industry events, and strategic discussions.
Translate client feedback into actionable insights for Research and Product teams.
Maintain a deep understanding of market trends, competitive offerings, and how institutional investors use forensic research in their investment processes.
Serve as a hands‑on mentor to sales professionals, offering deal support, skill development, and real‑time coaching.
Foster a collaborative environment where team members learn from shared experiences, client interactions, and best practices.
Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing development of sales talent
Encourage a culture of curiosity, continuous learning, and client‑centric thinking.
Partner with internal teams to refine product positioning, enhance client value, and support go‑to‑market initiatives.
Contribute to forecasting and pipeline discussions
Help shape commercial strategy through practical, client‑driven insights.
Requirements
5+ years of institutional sales experience in investment research, forensic accounting, alternative data, or related financial intelligence products.
Strong track record selling into hedge funds, asset managers, and other sophisticated investors.
Demonstrated success as a player‑coach—balancing personal production with mentoring and developing others, is preferred
Exceptional communication skills and the ability to simplify complex research for senior investment audiences.
Deep understanding of how forensic insights inform investment decisions.
Comfortable in a fast‑moving, entrepreneurial environment where influence and collaboration matter more than hierarchy.
