About this role
Role Overview
Oversee end-to-end payroll operations for multiple internal brands across multiple regions, including APAC, MENA, Europe and LATAM.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of semi-monthly and monthly payrolls for large employee populations.
Manage, coach, and develop a team of payroll specialists/coordinators to support day-to-day operations.
Ensure compliance with all federal and local payroll laws, tax reporting, and statutory requirements.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders (HR, Finance, Legal, IT) to support payroll integrations, process alignment, and policy updates.
Resolve complex payroll issues and escalations in a timely and effective manner.
Lead payroll-related audits and internal control reviews, ensuring data integrity and SOX compliance (if applicable).
Monitor and report on payroll KPIs and service delivery metrics.
Oversee tax filings, annual statement processing, and other regulatory obligations.
Lead payroll process for centralization and deployment efforts for in region payrolls.
Recommend and implement process improvements, automation, and documentation for operational efficiency.
Participate in payroll system upgrades, implementations, or consolidations as needed.
Requirements
7+ years of progressive payroll experience, including multi-state payroll and team management.
Strong working knowledge of payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Workday, UKG, etc.).
Experience managing high-volume global payroll across multiple entities or clients.
Deep understanding of global payroll concepts and processes, with NA knowledge a plus.
Experience working in a shared services or centralized payroll model is strongly preferred.
Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
GPMI certification preferred, but not required.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
