Data & AI Governance Consultant, you will play a key role in shaping and embedding the Data & AI operating model and governance framework across the organization.
You will work closely with data owners, data stewards, platform teams, and key stakeholders to ensure data is managed as a strategic asset, in line with regulatory, compliance, and business needs.
Developing and enforcing data governance frameworks, policies, and standards
Supporting the implementation of data stewardship and data ownership models across domains
Collaborating with data owners, stewards, and platform teams to ensure consistent governance practices
Driving adoption of data governance tools (e.g. Collibra, Alation, Informatica)
Monitoring compliance with data governance policies and supporting audits or regulatory reporting
Promoting data literacy and awareness through trainings, documentation, and community engagement
Contributing to innovation management initiatives within the Data & AI organization
Preparing clear and structured presentations and reporting dashboards for senior stakeholders for senior stakeholders
Requirements
Completed university degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, or a comparable field; candidates with an interdisciplinary background (e.g. business combined with technology, digital transformation, payments, or financial services) are also welcome
3 + years of relevant professional experience, ideally in financial services, consulting, banking, payments, fintech, or a related financial environment
Experience with Data & AI operating models and data governance
Understanding of data stewardship, data ownership, and governance frameworks including defining roles, responsibilities, and accountability structures across business domains
Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders (data owners, stewards, platform/engineering teams) to align and embed governance practices across the organization
Hands-on or coordination experience with data governance tools (Collibra, Alation, Informatica or similar) including driving tool adoption and onboarding across teams
Experience contributing to or driving innovation initiatives within a Data & AI organization (e.g., AI governance, emerging data management practices, process automation)
Experience monitoring data governance compliance, including supporting internal/external audits, regulatory reporting, and policy adherence tracking
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to translate complex topics into clear presentations and documentation
Proactive, structured, and collaborative mindset
Experience using German at B2-C1 level and English at C1 level in a professional environment.
