Support IRS examinations, collections, and penalty matters, including preparing responses to IDRs and notices, and representing clients before the IRS Independent Office of Appeals
Conduct legal research, draft memoranda, and prepare private letter ruling requests
Manage engagements end-to-end, including proposals, budgeting, WIP management, billing, and collections
Mentor, train, and develop staff while maintaining high technical standards
Identify client needs and contribute to achieving team and individual performance and financial objectives
Demonstrate leadership through professionalism, collaboration, and involvement in professional, business, or community organizations
Requirements
10+ years of experience with tax and/or legal research projects with a focus in tax controversy
Ideal candidates will have experience working for the IRS, as an attorney, or within a public accounting firm
