Manage imbalances and steer Hapag-Lloyd’s global standard container fleet on regional level by planning empty repositionings and conducting bookings for empty shipments.
Define and implement measures to increase the utilization of Hapag-Lloyd’s container fleet, considering fleet and repositioning costs and generated contribution levels.
Ensure optimal utilization of available vessel capacities for the repositioning of empty containers in cooperation with Trade Management, Network, and Regional Operations.
Plan dedicated vessels to evacuate or supply empty containers in cooperation with Chartering, Network, Trade Management and Regional Operations.
Analyze large sets of operational and financial data using different analytical tools.
Prepare management presentations and decision memos, conduct regular logistics meetings.
Requirements
University degree in the field of business administration, operations-/logistics-/or transportation management, (industrial) engineering, finance, or information technology is a plus.
Experience in global logistics and/or container shipping.
Reliable and motivated team player with excellent communication skills verbally and in writing.
Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently with strong ownership for own tasks and responsibilities.
Analytical mindset and ability to analyze large structured or unstructured data sets.
Good understanding of IT tools such as MS Office, Qlik, and FIS/COMPASS.
Fluent in business English
