Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations for the small business users.
Prepare monthly financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets.
Identify opportunities to streamline bookkeeping processes, improve efficiency, and enhance internal controls.
Stay current with accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance with all reporting requirements.
Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management, contributing financial expertise and insights to support strategic decision-making.
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, with a focus on general ledger maintenance and financial reporting.
Proficiency in common bookkeeping software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and excitement to learn the company’s bookkeeping software. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a collaborative team environment.
