The Sales Development Professional is responsible for prospecting and acquiring new customers by actively engaging with potential clients outside the office or company premises.
Build relationships, organize meetings, and present products or service offers to drive revenue growth and expand the company’s client portfolio.
Contribute to the development of the commercial action plan.
Plan and conduct sales visits and phone calls according to the agency’s sales segmentation (field visits for external sales / phone calls for internal sales).
Promote the services of the CMA CGM Group and non-maritime products (e-commerce, VAS, intermodal, CEVA, etc.).
Identify commercial market opportunities, grow market share, and/or increase revenue in line with the business strategy.
Update sales data and customer feedback in the CRM (opportunities, leads, contacts).
Achieve SVPC (Sales Visits & Phone Calls) targets and the qualitative objectives monitored in Analytics.
Forward customer pricing requests to sales support and route other customer requests to customer service.
Specialize by client type (FFW / BCO), by import/export (for clients handling both, coordinate with teams managing import and export), by location, by commodity, or by commercial specificity (for example, X-trade).
Requirements
Preferably a Bachelor’s degree (Bac +3) in Transport and Logistics, Marketing and Sales, Economics and Management, Statistics, or a related field.
At least three (03) years of professional experience in a similar role with proven results.
Strong knowledge of the shipping industry and substantial experience in liner shipping.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex commercial situations to customers and management.
