About this role
Role Overview
- Acts as the Category Consultant to McLane and their retailers
- Provides category level support and analysis to Sales Partners
- Assesses trends, analyzes data, and identifies key customer opportunities
- Works collaboratively with the McLane lab team to uncover insights
- Executes the Strategic Business Plan to achieve sales targets
- Supports Category Management Department to ensure corporate objectives are met
- Synthesizes actionable insights using retailer/distributor data
- Performs line reviews and builds planograms using JDA
- Creates efficiencies in the Category Management department by improving tools
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- Category Management and/or CPG Sales experience (3-4 years)
- Strong drive for results and excellent communication skills
- Strong technical aptitude shown through data analysis capabilities
- Strong drive to continuously develop your analytic abilities
- Knowledge of consumer sales industry trends
- Working knowledge of the category management process.
