Senior Mechanical Engineer

Role Overview

• Lead Projects: Take charge of small to medium-sized projects, ensuring successful delivery to meet client expectations and business objectives.
• Provide mechanical engineering expertise in an industrial environment including detailed mechanical and piping design, development of technical specifications and drawing management.
• Being part of a team that delivers multi-discipline projects – and developing the confidence to lead and own future projects.
• Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering their growth and enabling the team to deliver exceptional results for our clients.
• Stepping into a client-facing role and growing into a project manager or commissioning manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (Washington Accord).
• Proven experience in a similar role with 7+ years’ experience.
• Excellent project management and communication skills, experience coordinating multi-discipline projects with a broad knowledge of other engineering disciplines.
• Technical knowledge with hygienic and pressure piping system design, surge analysis, pipe stress, and hydraulic analysis.
• Familiarity with PECPR requirements, AS/NZS 1170, ASME B31 suite of codes or equivalent standards.
• Exposure to (or a willingness to learn) piping industry software such as AutoPIPE, PIPE-FLO, or similar.
• Willingness to travel to site.
