About this role
Role Overview
Lead and oversee accounting and finance operations across multiple Asia national offices, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with regulatory, board, and global standards.
Provide strategic direction for budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, capital expenditures, and financial analysis at a regional level.
Ensure timely, accurate submission and administration of regional and country budgets, integrated with strategic planning.
Lead initiatives to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability of finance operations across the region.
Evaluate which finance functions should remain local versus be consolidated into a regional operating model.
Drive process improvement, policy development, and data integrity initiatives, including business intelligence and reporting enhancements.
Lead and develop multiple country-level accounting managers and finance leaders.
Set clear goals and expectations, coach performance, build capability, and strengthen the regional finance leadership bench.
Transition the organization from detailed operational dependence to strategic, leader-led execution.
Partner closely with regional leadership, national office leaders, and global senior leadership. Use financial insight, modeling, and analysis to advise leaders and influence decisions during ambiguity, trade-offs, and competing priorities.
Anticipate regional and global economic trends that may impact financial planning and sustainability.

Requirements
Strong accounting background with senior-leadership responsibility (non-negotiable).
Experience leading multiple teams across countries or complex organizational structures.
Proven ability to operate at a strategic level, without defaulting to day-to-day operational execution.
Demonstrated experience leading organizational change, consolidation, or growth in ambiguous environments.
Corporate-sector finance experience with high standards for reporting accuracy and timeliness.
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence to influence senior leaders.
Comfort navigating cultural diversity, complexity, and evolving structures.
Preferably Regional or multi-country leadership experience in Asia, with exposure to global or matrixed organizations.
Experience working with nonprofit or mission-driven organizations, a plus.
At least Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent).
