Role Overview
- Performs insurance follow-up billing and collection duties
- Reviews patient accounts for accuracy
- Utilizes Epic and other tools for claim management
- Makes collection calls to insurance companies and patients
- Contacts insurance companies for payment issues
- Supports customer service with billing questions
- Assists with training new staff
- Meets Quality Assurance standards
- Acts as Team Lead when needed
- Participates in special projects
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience
- 3 years of billing or insurance experience
- Collections strategies
- Computer literacy
- Confidential data handling
- Medical terminology
- Office equipment proficiency
- Telephone system use
