The Sales Rep position is ideal for the candidate who has had success in sales and relationship building, may be new to the industrial lumber and wood packaging business, and is eager to learn and desires great success in sales.
This position is a role that will include intensive education on the fundamentals of the industrial lumber and packaging business, with base pay plus commission.
The successful Sales Rep will learn the industrial lumber and wood packaging business and eventually build their book of business by prospecting for customers in our industry.
Engage in closing sales by telephone and face-to-face, traveling as needed.
Manage account profitability and grow revenue and revenue base.
Requirements
Minimum of 5 years of experience in selling products or services to industrial manufacturers in the Houston, TX area.
Must currently live in the Houston, TX area and be within a one-hour commute to Conroe, TX.
Having a strong list of existing customer contacts is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Strong computer skills with experience in the Microsoft Office suite
Demonstrated sales experience and ability to work effectively as part of a team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Willing to take a hands-on approach in all aspects of our business
Self-Starter and eager to learn, motivated by the hunt and a desire to improve.
Willing to travel; must have a dependable vehicle
Experience in sales processes including cold calls, prospecting, target selling and account management
Analytical thinker with a strong emphasis on data gathering and analysis
Ability to prioritize and multi-task with a strong attention to detail.
Ability to develop and give oral presentations to both small and large groups.
