Role Overview
Support and execute air emissions modeling and permitting
Environmental policies, studies and analysis, including National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)
Environmental compliance audits related to DOW system testing, and facilities planning, design, construction, operation, and sustainment
Serving as a subject matter and regulatory expert on complex technical and programmatic issues related to environmental planning, management, and compliance initiatives
Conducting air emission calculations and preparing permit applications for the use of generators and boilers in the United States and its territories
Developing strategies related to environmental planning, management, and compliance
Supporting multiple concurrent high priority environmental projects
Identifying problems, developing sound solutions, and presenting recommendations to the team for approval and implementation
Interacting directly with client on a daily basis
Requirements
Master’s degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, or a related engineering/science field
Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional environmental work experience
Experience in preparing air emission calculations and permit applications for emergency/prime power diesel
or natural gas fired-generators and boilers
Strong environmental regulatory background with experience in CAA, RCRA, and NEPA, including preparing Environmental Assessments (EAs), Impact Statements (EIS), and supporting documents
Experience in Environmental Management System implementation and maintaining conformance
Strong verbal and written communication and computer skills, as well as the ability to work with a high-degree of independence/minimal direct supervision
Ability to work in the field, work outdoors, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be a U.S. citizen per federal contract requirements
Must possess an active DoD Secret security clearance (may allow for the ability to obtain one).
