originate, assess and secure new gas power generation development opportunities aligned to APA’s strategic priorities
lead the end to end development of compelling customer bids and proposals
guide cross functional, matrixed teams from early origination to feasibility and through to final investment decision
drive the development of high quality investment proposals and board submissions for strategic projects
lead negotiations for early stage agreements such as MOUs and Development Agreements
partner closely with Project Development Managers for smooth project progression
build and sustain strong strategic customer relationships
Requirements
proven experience in business development and commercial strategy within the energy, infrastructure or utilities sectors ideally in NEM connected power generation projects
strong commercial judgement and hands on experience negotiating early stage agreements such as development agreements and MOUs
comfortable operating in complex, fast moving bid environments
demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate cross functional teams across diverse and often complex stakeholder landscapes
solid understanding of energy markets, particularly the NEM and gas fired generation is highly regarded
