Independent management of the general ledger and sub-ledgers, including reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
Ensuring the correct posting of all business transactions
Participation in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB
Meeting deadlines and setting priorities in day-to-day and project work
Requirements
Commercial training with a focus on financial accounting, or a comparable qualification/degree
Several years of professional experience in a similar role
Practical knowledge of accounting under HGB
Experience across full-scope accounting (accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed asset accounting, subsidiary ledgers, general ledger, provisions)
Good understanding of national VAT law
Confident use of ERP systems (currently MS Navision, migrating to SAP)
Strong numerical affinity, analytical thinking and high accuracy
Independent, committed and team-oriented working style
Fluent German and good English skills
