About this role
Role Overview
- Lead Shipping/Receiving Department and master distribution center operations.
- Champion safety and drive process improvements.
- Coordinate daily assignments and manage inventory transitions.
- Oversee facility compliance and partner across departments.
- Drive measurable continuous improvement initiatives with quarterly reporting.
- Develop and maintain procedures documentation and train associates on all procedures.
- Ensure facility operations through opening/closing and handle emergencies.
- Support cross-functional needs including backup to Shipping Team Leader.
- Recruit, hire, interview candidates, and partner with HR on employee coaching.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 5 years’ experience
- Functional knowledge of SAP or similar ERP Program including the use of WMS programs
- Ability to deliver clear and informative written and oral communication
- Above average Excel/Word/PowerPoint skills
- Strong communication ability
- Independently builds relationships & networks.
- Maintains constructive and proactive working relationships within shipping departments at all locations and with all external departments interactive with the shipping department.
