Responsibility for month-end and year-end closing process for the French real estate portfolio.
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting, in compliance with Local GAAP, IFRS and Group reporting requirements.
Booking of IFRS adjustments, as well as required Group reclasses and GL allocations.
Additional controller duties as necessary (check InterCo Eliminations, review of capitalised development costs and check for potential dead deal costs, review of tenant’s arrears and check for potential bad debts to be booked etc).
Take ownership of monthly reporting, ensuring timely and accurate financial results in cooperation with internal and external teams.
Provide insightful variance analysis, providing clear explanations and insights on deviations from budget/forecast.
Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes: prepare G&A budgets and forecasts, review budget and forecast submissions from other Group functions (e.g., PM, AM, Corp) and challenge them to support decision-making.
Goal to always enhance compliance, efficiency, and financial controls: drive automation and continuous improvement of financial reporting and controlling processes.
Maintain Chart of Account mappings, guides and manuals updated for all processes in place.
Preparation of Monthly Cash projections incl. review Accounts Receivables / Accounts Payables status and Development projects.
Preparation of cash transfers: manage intercompany financing (IC loans) and repayments.
Manage payments of invoices in ERP and Treasury system, and potential tenants’ reimbursements.
Manage intragroup transactions, including issuance and reconciliation of intercompany service invoices (e.g., Asset Management Fee, Accounting services, various recharges).
Cooperation with external and internal auditors and advisors.
Projects will include involvement in implementation of financial systems and other process optimizations projects.
Support country and group management with ad-hoc business analyses.
Partner with PM/AM and other business functions to identify risks, opportunities, and performance improvement actions.
Requirements
Degree in Finance, Business School (Master’s level or equivalent).
Experience from a similar controlling position (ideally 3-5 years).
Experience in FP&A, Business Controlling/Financial Controlling area, ideally in the Real Estate Industry.
Experience with ERP systems (Yardi is a plus), and database tools, such as Power BI or Tableau would be an advantage.
Strong MS Excel knowledge.
Languages: French (native or bilingual level), English (very good professional working knowledge).
