Provide legal and regulatory support to clients in iGaming, fintech, and technology, including licensing, authorisations, and ongoing compliance with MGA, MFSA, and other authorities
Assist clients throughout their operational journey by preparing legal documents, handling regulatory submissions, and coordinating with regulatory bodies
Act as the main link between clients, authorities, and counterparties – handling queries and ensuring smooth communication in the client's best interest
Support internal legal, regulatory, and corporate teams with day-to-day compliance obligations and regulatory requirements
Help plan, implement, and manage compliance and regulatory activities in line with applicable laws and frameworks
Keep track of legal and regulatory updates, and advise clients on what they mean and what actions to take
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal or regulatory documents
Provide legal support for corporate transactions, structuring, and restructuring projects
Work closely with colleagues across legal, regulatory, and corporate services on area-specific matters
Manage a portfolio of clients, ensuring high-quality service and building strong, long-term relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
Requirements
Minimum 4 years post-qualification experience in a similar role
Holds a Master of Advocacy (M.Adv), Doctor of Laws (LL.D), or equivalent
Holds a valid warrant to practice law in Malta
Has interest and experience in regulated industries
Experience with MFSA licensing and regulatory frameworks is an asset
Exposure to AML/CFT compliance is beneficial
Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Able to work independently and within a team
Proficient in Microsoft Office and standard office tools.
