Providing expert technical input across all stages of thermal generation projects — from feasibility and concept design through to construction and commissioning.
Acting as Owner’s Engineer technical lead, reviewing core technology OEM designs, balance of plant (BoP) engineering and performance models.
Developing and reviewing key project documentation such as technical specifications, tender evaluations, grid connection studies and risk assessments.
Collaborating closely with environment, planning and multidisciplinary teams to review project layouts, power island configurations, access roads and electrical, gas, water and wastewater infrastructure.
Supporting clients through technical due diligence, design reviews, construction monitoring and commissioning verification.
Staying curious and up to date with evolving technologies, regulations and industry best practice to deliver thoughtful, future‑focused solutions.
Requirements
Experience in a similar technical or Owner’s Engineer role on gas turbine and/or reciprocating internal combustion engine projects across design, procurement, and/or construction phases.
A strong understanding of thermal generation technology, electrical systems, grid connections, and key civil or structural interfaces.
A background in MV/HV electrical design, thermal energy, or mechanical or civil engineering — with demonstrated technical leadership.
Knowledge of relevant industry standards (IEC, ISO) and regulatory frameworks, including health, safety, and environmental requirements.
RPEQ registration, or eligibility to obtain registration, is required.
