About this role
Role Overview
Write and finalize plaintiff PI demand letters (primarily auto accident claims) that clearly present liability, damages, and settlement rationale
Review and analyze medical records and billing to identify key treatment facts, providers, diagnoses, and causation themes
Build accurate treatment chronologies and damages summaries (specials and supporting documentation) that are easy for an attorney to review quickly
Assemble complete demand packages, ensuring all records, bills, and supporting documents are correctly uploaded and organized
Proactively spot missing records/bills or documentation gaps and drive follow-up to completion
Communicate professionally with clients as needed (updates, clarification questions, follow-ups), meeting the client’s high bar for tone and clarity
Support lien-related tasks as assigned (tracking, requesting balances, organizing lien documentation), depending on performance and experience
Follow firm processes consistently and deliver a reliable weekly output of at least 3 demand letters per week with minimal supervision
Requirements
Must-Have:
Prior plaintiff personal injury experience (required) with direct, hands-on demand writing responsibility
Proven ability to draft PI demand letters independently, end-to-end (not just editing or filling templates)
Strong experience reviewing medical records and bills and translating them into clear treatment/damages narratives
Excellent written English with consistently polished work product and minimal reliance on AI tools
Extremely strong attention to detail and file organization (you catch missing items before anyone asks)
Clear, professional spoken English for client-facing communication.
Nice to Have:
Lien experience (health insurance liens, letters of protection, Medicare/Medicaid concepts, or general lien tracking support)
Comfort working via remote desktop tools (e.g., LogMeIn) and adapting to different law firm systems/processes
Familiarity with Google Workspace and Microsoft Word in a legal production environment (formatting, clean docs, organized folders)
Experience supporting attorneys with additional legal assistant tasks once core demand production is consistently strong
Benefits
Access to a
$200K+ perk marketplace
with discounts on 150+ global services.
Option to
withdraw up to 50% of approved earnings
before payday.
