Provides operational leadership for WashU Medicine's delegated credentialing organization
Works jointly with Senior Director of Managed Care Financial Contracting and Rate Analysis to secure optimal terms with third-party managed care organizations
Develops and implements policies and procedures for credentialing and re-credentialing functions
Designs and manages a centralized practitioner database
Maintains compliance with credentialing standards and advises affiliated physician organizations
Develops infrastructure for accurate reporting to credentialing bodies
Coordinates site audits by managed care plans
Negotiates managed care contract language and secures acceptable terms
Requirements
Bachelor's degree
No specific certification/professional license required
Credentialing management and managed care contracting in a large faculty practice, private practice, large healthcare or third-party payor organization (5 years)
