You will take on the professional and disciplinary group leadership of a team of up to ten accounts payable specialists for the assigned Heraeus entities (1–20 legal entities), and ensure a legally compliant financial close from the Accounts Payable perspective within the Shared Services Finance Center Hanau (SSFC).
By identifying and implementing measures, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of processes.
You will actively participate in projects for process improvements, system migrations or the integration of additional entities, and may assume project leadership when required.
As part of the internal control system within the Shared Services Finance Center, you will perform controls and independently coordinate with representatives of other corporate functions, internal customers and external suppliers.
Operational tasks such as processing incoming invoices from receipt to payment, resolving discrepancies with Purchasing or suppliers, handling dunning processes, account maintenance (reconciliation accounts, clearing accounts, vendor accounts, GR/IR account) and periodic tasks as part of the month-end closing are also part of your responsibilities.
In addition, you will ensure compliance with the service levels for Accounts Payable as documented in the Service Level Agreements.
You will interact with external partners (in particular external auditors, suppliers, etc.) and support improvement measures for your units in Germany, Europe and the United States of America.
Requirements
Degree in Business Administration or a completed commercial apprenticeship with several years of professional experience
Several years (>5 years) of professional experience in Accounts Payable
Initial leadership experience (e.g., functional leadership of a small team)
Very good knowledge of SAP FI and SAP MM, particularly in areas relevant to Accounts Payable
Very good knowledge of Readsoft or comparable tools
Very good command of the Microsoft Office suite
Business-fluent in spoken and written German and English; additional languages are an advantage
Strong analytical thinking, a pragmatic approach and a high affinity for IT
