Receive, understand, and structure requests coming from different channels/products;
Translate business needs into detailed, clear, and testable user stories;
Ensure stories have clear and complete acceptance criteria;
Refine the backlog with the technical team (Developers and QA), anticipating questions and risks;
Prioritize the backlog based on business value, goals, effort, and technical dependencies;
Monitor development to ensure adherence to the defined scope;
Work closely with QA to ensure test scenarios are covered;
Identify gaps in definitions and proactively resolve them before execution;
Facilitate communication between stakeholders and the technical team;
Support decisions with sufficient technical understanding to discuss backend solutions.
Requirements
Previous experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role within agile teams;
Experience with backend products and/or backend teams;
Basic to intermediate knowledge of system architecture and APIs (REST/GraphQL);
Experience writing clear, complete, and testable user stories;
Ability to detail acceptance criteria objectively;
Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban);
Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical teams;
Backlog organization and management (Jira or similar);
Basic to intermediate experience reading and authoring Swagger (OpenAPI) documentation;
Experience with Node.js or the JavaScript backend ecosystem;
Understanding of integrations between systems, services, and microservices;
Familiarity with API versioning practices;
Basic knowledge of observability, logs, and troubleshooting (to support diagnostics);
Experience with high-scale environments or distributed systems;
Experience with the AWS suite (Lambda, DynamoDB, Aurora, CloudWatch, S3).
