Act as the local medical leader responsible for developing a tailored strategy to meet the AZ USMA priorities in the disease area, as well as the local specificities and patient needs
Develop strong working relationships in different external business settings
Leads scientific exchanges with oncologists, urologists and key members of the MDT
Gathers insights on the treatment landscape, evolving healthcare environment and practice, barriers to optimal treatment and patient care or opportunities to improve outcomes of patients with cancer
Communicate internally insights, findings, and propose actions to improve patient care and outcomes
Discuss with KOLs data and educational gaps to ensure adequate use of our medicines and to inform our R&D strategy to address patient needs
Summarize appropriate clinical data into accurate and balanced information and clearly and concisely convey the most relevant information
Stay current with scientific knowledge
Attend relevant scientific meetings and conferences
Collaborate with Clin ops on Ph3 trials from feasibility to execution of trials
Requirements
Advanced scientific degree required (i.e. Pharm D, MD/DO, PhD, PA or NP) in a relevant health science or clinical discipline
2 + years of MSL experience or relevant therapeutic area experience
Demonstrated expertise in discussing scientific content and context to multiple audiences
Ability to express ideas clearly in written documentation, one-on-one conversations and in small group dialogues
Ability to work independently and in groups
Ability to navigate within a matrixial environment
Strong understanding of clinical study design and protocols
Basic understanding of the Healthcare system, clinical trial methodology, statistics and regulatory environment
Excellent project management ability
Ability to travel (40-60% by car and plane domestic)
