Support Head of Korea Business Development in fundraising by building and maintaining relationships with junior level investors around similar age group (30-40)
Support Head of Korea Business Development in fundraising by managing due diligence process, answering quick and simple questions on ground, and translating/organizing DDQ and questions from investors
Support Head of Korea Business Development in client servicing activities by going through quarterly reports and whitepapers and proactively inform and update existing investors, managing their needs hence build a “natural path to re-up by our existing investors”
Split internal meetings between Head of Korea Business Development so that Korea Business Development Team can now join-in to all internal late-night calls
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and pipeline information in the firm’s internal reporting systems
Prepare corporate events in Korea such as investor roadshows, conferences, and Seoul AGMs
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university, ideally in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
7-10 years of relevant experience in asset management, private equity, alternatives, or investment banking, with a focus on institutional sales, distribution, or investor relations for Korean clients
Native Korean language skills and Fluent English both written and spoken.
Strong understanding of the Korean institutional investor landscape and investment products and the ability to discuss performance, risk, and portfolio construction with sophisticated investors
Proven ability to manage multiple and urgent client request and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Ability to combine strong professional credibility with a warm, approachable style that resonates with investors, while acting as a collaborative team player who builds and maintains excellent relationships across organization.
This role requires regulatory designation (i.e. to be licensed with the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission) and will also require the person to have at least IMC or CFA qualifications.
