Writing, coordinating and overseeing major grants, including managing the full lifecycle of foundation grants
Drafting, editing, and submitting grant proposals and reports that align with funder guidelines and organizational priorities
Reviewing, editing, and strengthening key regional grant submissions as needed in partnership with fundraisers
Coordinating with program, finance, and other staff to gather required data, budgets, testimonials, and narratives for grant applications and reports
Tracking and updating grant calendars, deadlines, and deliverables to ensure compliance and on-time submissions
Maintaining accurate, up-to-date records in the grants database and CRM
Managing the grants inbox, monitoring incoming requests and updates, and routing information to the appropriate team members
Sending reminders to fundraisers and internal partners to ensure regional grants, reports, and supporting materials stay on track
Managing BBYO’s direct mail program, including planning, drafting, coordinating approvals, tracking timelines, and partnering with stakeholders to execute initiatives per year
Drafting key communications from CEO to major donors
Supporting donor engagement efforts, helping prepare materials, messaging, briefings, and follow-up communications that inspire giving
Supporting on-the-ground donor engagement and communications efforts around BBYO International Convention
Requirements
3–5 years of relevant experience in grants management, fundraising, non-profit development, or donor communications
Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, marketing, or related area of study. Master's Degree is preferred but not required
Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM
Excellent writer and storyteller who can craft compelling grant proposals, donor messages, direct mail copy, and stewardship communications
Highly organized and systems-oriented project manager who can track deadlines, send reminders, manage competing priorities, and keep multiple projects moving forward
Comfortable using data, program outcomes, donor insights, and constituent stories to shape persuasive communications and demonstrate impact
Collaborative partner who can gather information from colleagues, work with senior organizational leaders, and support fundraisers with clarity and follow-through
Attend all major BBYO events including Staff Conference, and International Convention each year, as well as team retreats and other events
