Assistant, Early Childhood Educator

Role Overview

• Under the guidance of the Lead Teacher, provide comprehensive services that support the development of the whole child, with a focus on school readiness
• Create a safe, supervised, inclusive, educational setting where all children can experience success
• Implement the Creative Curriculum, the Project Approach, and other developmentally appropriate content
• Partner with families in the child’s development
• Provide and maintain a safe environment
• Use an online curriculum and child assessment system
• Keep complete and accurate observation records on the children
• Plan and implement individual, as well as small and whole group programming for all children

Requirements

• Associate degree in ECE is preferred or Child Development Associate Credential (CDA)
• Minimum of 9 ECE credits and be enrolled in a program leading to an Associate or Baccalaureate degree in Early Childhood Education
• Preferred 1 years of experience working with children in a licensed childcare facility
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office ability to utilize online data systems
