Define and implement the core KPIs, tracking, and data structures from the outset
Develop our paywall and offering logic (metering, pricing, bundles, trials) — without existing constraints
Establish a systematic experimentation setup (A/B testing, hypothesis-driven work)
Create mechanisms to increase depth of use and reader retention (e.g., newsletters, personalization, habit-forming products)
Identify and prioritize the biggest growth levers across the entire journey
Work closely with editorial, product, marketing, and tech to align content, distribution, and product around growth
Build a modern, data-driven decision framework — instead of relying on gut feeling and legacy processes
Requirements
Experience in growth, subscription business, performance marketing, or product development
Strong understanding of conversion funnels with a focus on engagement, registration, and retention
Experience building or scaling data-driven growth systems
Confident use of analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Amplitude, Mixpanel)
Understanding of digital business models, paywalls, and pricing strategies
Ability to analyze complex user behavior and translate findings into clear actions
Hands-on mentality and a passion for building things from the ground up
Ideally: knowledge of tracking, SQL, or experimentation frameworks
Confident use of AI tools (including Claude, Gemini) for research, content production, and SEO; experience with targeted prompting and the ability to critically evaluate AI outputs
