Crossover is a company focused on transforming education through innovative learning strategies. They are seeking a Director of Educational Strategy to lead the development and execution of academic frameworks that enhance learning outcomes using AI-driven methods and evidence-based practices.
Responsibilities:
- Designing academic frameworks that transform learning science principles into actionable direction for curriculum development, motivational structures, and application architecture
- Conducting academic execution reviews with Heads of Academics to confirm that school teams remain aligned, accountable, and consistently achieving outcomes
- Integrating data analysis, stakeholder interviews, and direct observation into comprehensive academic ecosystem assessments that identify the most critical obstacles to accelerated learning and recommend concrete interventions
- Ensuring strategic alignment via planning processes, feedback mechanisms, and milestone oversight to sustain focus on student learning objectives
- Serving as the public face of 2 Hour Learning at senior levels—from keynote presentations to engagements with Ministries of Education—championing systemic transformation in global educational thinking
Requirements:
- Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field
- 7+ years leading academic or EdTech teams with evidence of exceptional learning outcomes
- Proven experience applying AI or technology to accelerate learning
- Track record of public thought leadership such as media, keynotes, books, or advising
- Strong performance management skills with the ability to hold elite peers to a high bar
- Fluent in interpreting data to diagnose learning issues and direct interventions
- Comfortable engaging directly with students, parents, and school leaders
- Founded or led an innovative school model, lab school, or high-performing EdTech venture
- Experience navigating cultural, political, or international education contexts
- Deep familiarity with Bloom's 2 Sigma research and other mastery learning frameworks
