Dexian is seeking a driven and strategic Business Development Representative with experience in payments and relationship management to join a high-performing Small & Medium-Sized Business (SMB) sales team. This role focuses on identifying, developing, and closing new Merchant Services opportunities while building strong, long-term client relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Drive new merchant services opportunities within an assigned Business Banking portfolio
- Self-source prospects through referral networks and centers of influence
- Serve as a trusted advisor by recommending tailored banking and payment solutions
- Conduct outbound outreach to prospects and existing clients (remote hub-based model)
- Negotiate and close merchant agreements end-to-end
- Analyze pricing and structure solutions for profitability
- Partner with internal teams to ensure successful implementation
- Maintain accurate sales records and reporting
- Meet and exceed monthly and annual production goals
- Follow risk management and regulatory compliance standards (AML/KYC)
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of merchant services and payment solutions
- Proven B2B sales or relationship management experience
- Ability to build and influence client and internal partnerships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong consultative selling and negotiation skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of business development experience
- Bilingual Korean & English (preferred)
