Array Labs is building the world’s most advanced radar imaging satellites to provide critical insights into the physical world. They are seeking a highly skilled Radar Engineer with Moving Target Indication (MTI) experience to develop innovative solutions for space-based radar systems, focusing on system design and performance analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Design and prototype MTI algorithms, taking advantage of our unique multistatic configuration
- Productionize radar system architectures for space-based MTI applications, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability
- Analyze radar system performance metrics such as detection probability, false alarm rates, clutter suppression, and tracking accuracy
- Develop and utilize simulation tools to model radar system behavior and validate design choices
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, hardware engineers, and program managers, to ensure successful system integration and deployment
- Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- Experience with radar system modeling and simulation
- Proficiency in Python, C/C++, or MATLAB
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills
- Learn new concepts rapidly, completely, and in a self-directed manner
- High levels of self-motivation and personal accountability
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under significant time constraints
- Must currently hold or be able to maintain a U.S Department of Defense (DoD) Secret level security clearance
- U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions
- To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State
- Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in radar systems engineering, with a focus on moving target detection and indication
- Strong knowledge of MTI principles, including Doppler processing, clutter suppression, space-time adaptive processing (STAP)
- Experience with GMTI, AMTI, and/or moving target detection
- Experience with bistatic and/or multistatic radar systems
- Experience with military or defense radar systems
