NetSPI is a leader in Penetration Testing as a Service (PTaaS) and is seeking a DevOps Manager to lead a remote team responsible for the infrastructure and operational backbone of their cybersecurity SaaS platform. The role involves hands-on leadership, focusing on cloud environments, CI/CD architecture, and fostering a culture of accountability and automation within the team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, support, and grow a fully remote team DevOps team through clear expectations, coaching, and regular feedback
- Remain hands-on in infrastructure design, architecture reviews, and critical problem-solving
- Own AWS cloud environments across development, staging, and production needs
- Define and evolve CI/CD architecture, standards, and automation strategy
- Champion engineering excellence, including code quality, documentation, observability, and operational reliability
- Modernize infrastructure-as-code practices and deployment workflows
- Partner with corporate security to strengthen our cloud security posture and hardening
- Improve developer experience by reducing friction in build, test, and deployment workflows
- Foster a healthy, sustainable development culture grounded in trust, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Use modern, outcome-based metrics to understand team health, delivery effectiveness, and system performance
- Support agile ways of working while remaining pragmatic about what best serves the team and the product
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience building and shipping large-scale software systems
- 2+ years of experience leading DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering teams
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS architecture and services
- Deep experience with infrastructure as code (terraform or equivalent)
- Experience designing and managing CI/CD systems at scale
- Working proficiency in one or more languages from our stack and relational databases
- Strong understanding of containerization and cloud-based architectures (Docker, AWS)
- Comfort debugging complex systems and improving performance and reliability
- Experience with software quality best practices
