Zurich Insurance is seeking a motivated and driven Sales Development Representative to join their business development team. This role focuses on connecting with prospects, qualifying opportunities, and driving interest in advanced solutions to support ZRS sales efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Generate pipeline: Execute outbound prospecting via phone, email, LinkedIn, and events to create qualified meetings for ZRS’s sales team
- Qualify opportunities: Uncover pain points, assess fit, and determine urgency using consultative selling frameworks like BANT, MEDDIC, or SPIN
- Collaborate with sales & marketing: Work closely with Account Executives, Marketing, and management to develop campaigns and accelerate lead conversion
- Leverage tools: Manage outreach and tracking through CRM (Salesforce), sales engagement tools (e.g. Outreach.io), and intelligence platforms (ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator)
- Educate prospects: Develop a strong understanding of ZRS services to articulate value to both technical and business decision-makers
- Track performance: Maintain accurate activity logs, pipeline data, and weekly/monthly KPI reporting
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree and 4 or more years of experience in Sales Development OR
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more years of experience in Sales OR
- Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 4 or more years of experience in Sales AND
- Experience building and managing relationships inside a business and externally
- Experience meeting sales goals
- Experience in lead generation, business development, or inside sales
- Insurance industry experience
- Experience working in a consulting service business
- Strong communication and active listening skills, with the ability to tailor conversations to different audiences
- Self-motivated, coachable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Familiarity with pipeline-building strategies, prospecting tools, and sales methodologies
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently hit or exceed pipeline KPIs, plus activity and meeting targets
