Mechanical Design Engineer

Business Integra Inc is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer III to join their team. The role involves executing finite element analyses for gas turbine rotors and performing various post-processing exercises, along with supporting automation and defect evaluation tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Execute 2D & 3D gas turbine rotor finite element analyses in Ansys
• Perform typical post processing exercises such as LCF crack initiation, LCF crack propagation, summarize bolted joint behavior, strength evaluations, etc
• Pull CAD models from PLM
• Work CAD models in Siemens NX
• Summarize and document analytical results
• Support automation of typical tasks with Python as needed
• Support defect evaluation through analysis
• Present on routine project status meetings
• Strong communication skills
• Highly collaborative and works well in team environment

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 6+ years of relevant work experience
• Experience with HCF and LCF is mandatory and should reflect in resume
