Sci-Rec is an innovative, rapidly expanding Preclinical CRO delivering integrated drug discovery and early development services. They are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive new client acquisition and revenue expansion across the United States, focusing on preclinical drug discovery services and leading the full sales cycle.
Responsibilities:
- Drive new business opportunities for preclinical drug discovery services (in vitro, in vivo, DMPK, pharmacology, toxicology, translational research)
- Develop and execute a strategic US territory growth plan
- Identify and engage biotech start-ups, mid-sized pharma, and large pharmaceutical outsourcing teams
- Lead the full sales cycle: prospecting, technical discussions, proposals, negotiations, and closing
- Work closely with scientific leadership to position tailored solutions for clients
- Represent the company at major US industry conferences (BIO, AACR, etc.)
- Maintain CRM accuracy and provide revenue forecasting
Requirements:
- MSc or PhD in Life Sciences (e.g., Pharmacology, Biology, Drug Discovery, or related discipline)
- Proven business development experience within a CRO, CDMO, or preclinical services provider
- Strong understanding of drug discovery workflows and outsourced research models
- Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Established network within US biotech/pharma (highly desirable)
