Theranica is a digital therapeutics company pioneering wearable, drug-free treatments for migraine and other idiopathic pain conditions. The Business Development Manager, Clinic Solutions is responsible for enabling point-of-care availability by managing device inventory in physician practices and clinics, while ensuring compliance and optimizing operational processes.
Responsibilities:
- New Account Acquisition: Identify and onboard new clinics, both hospital based and outpatient, for "Stock and Bill" programs
- Referral Source Management: Build and maintain high-level relationships with the prescribers and other medical staff to ensure the company remains their primary DME supplier
- Inventory Oversight: Coordinate the stocking and tracking of consigned inventory at client locations to ensure products are available for immediate patient use, and products are tracked compliantly
- Billing & Compliance Support: Ensure clinical staff correctly document and code (HCPCS) for provided product and services services to facilitate accurate insurance billing and regulatory compliance
- Educational In-Services: Conduct on-site training for MD’s, APP’s, medical assistants and other office staff on the proper device fitting, patient training, documentation requirements, and product benefits
- Performance Tracking: Analyze customer prescribing and dispensing data to monitor prescription and referral trends, identify drops in volume, and present quarterly business reviews to leadership
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5-10 years in medical device sales within the healthcare channels where stock and bill models are common
- A Bachelor's degree in Life Science or Business is preferred for this strategic sales role
- Deep understanding of the entire prescription, billing, and claim processing flow, from beginning to end, specifically for home-use prescribed medical devices under Medical Benefits (DME)
- Proficiency in Salesforce or other CRM platforms for managing territory data and daily call logs
- Ability to lead and manage a small team within multiple specialties
