The Manager - Enterprise Strategy & Business Development plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the organization, overseeing the execution of strategic initiatives and managing multiple projects to enhance competitive positioning in the healthcare industry.
Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple strategic projects simultaneously, ensuring timely and accurate delivery while working independently in a fast-paced environment
- Design and facilitate processes for system-wide strategic planning, including developing strategy documents, tracking project progress, and providing data-driven insights to key stakeholders
- Lead data collection, validation, and analysis efforts to produce high-quality qualitative and quantitative assessments supporting strategic initiatives and business development
- Synthesize complex data and information to develop clear recommendations, enabling informed decision-making for executive, clinical, and operational leaders
- Identify and analyze new business opportunities, including market expansion, service line development, and partnership potential
- Develop utilization trends and analyze return on investment for growth initiatives, supporting strategic growth and operational efficiency
- Implement cross-functional data strategies aligned with organizational goals, fostering collaboration across departments
- Oversee the development of Certificate of Need (CON) strategies, applications, and responses to competitor applications, ensuring compliance and strategic positioning
- Apply best practices in project management, including developing project plans, process mapping, and establishing success metrics to monitor progress and outcomes
- Prepare and deliver high-level presentations to senior executives, tailoring communication style to audience preferences
- Hire, develop, coach, and retain a high-performing team, ensuring work quality, timeliness, and effective collaboration
- Promote knowledge sharing within the team through forums, training, and best-practice initiatives to elevate technical and non-technical skills
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in strategic planning, healthcare consulting, data analysis, and project management within a healthcare setting
- Exceptional analytical skills
- Financial modeling expertise
- Experience managing cross-functional teams
- Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
- Master's Degree in a related field
- Experience in healthcare strategy, including roles in health systems, provider groups, or health plans
- A minimum of three (3) years in healthcare strategy or consulting with leadership responsibilities
- Familiarity with core healthcare datasets
