Business Integra Inc is seeking a Lead Process Control / Instrumentation Engineer to support the Instrumentation Design scope for the BWRX-300 Small Modular Reactor project. The engineer will be responsible for preparing instrumentation documentation and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver safe, high-quality, and timely design solutions for nuclear plant systems.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain:
- Field instrumentation datasheets
- Instrument lists
- Instrument rack lists
- Technical specifications
- Instrument installation details
- Lead the design integration of:
- Pipe-mounted instrumentation
- Rack-mounted instrumentation
- Control hardware systems
- Collaborate with engineers and technical leads to:
- Define instrumentation modifications
- Support system-level design improvements
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Support instrumentation design across various nuclear plant systems, including:
- HVAC Systems
- Instrumentation & Control Systems (ICS)
- Nuclear Boiler Instrumentation
- Shutdown Cooling Systems
- Reactor Water Cleanup Systems
- Turbine Control Systems
- Fuel Pool Cooling Systems
- Execute projects of varying complexity across different project phases under the guidance of senior engineers and technical leads
- Work effectively with globally distributed teams to ensure on-time project delivery
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in: Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, Or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of: Electrical systems, P&IDs, Process instrumentation, Instrument rack assembly and configuration, Automation technologies, Control systems
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to various BWRX-300 SMR systems
- Willingness to work on new Instrumentation & Control (I&C) systems
- Strong understanding of engineering policies, procedures, and standards
- Effective time management and multitasking skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural, global environment
- Strong technical aptitude with engineering tools and systems
- Experience in regulated industries such as: Nuclear power, Process industries, Marine, Medical / Pharmaceutical, Oil & Gas
- Experience working under a regulated quality program (e.g., 10 CFR 50 Appendix B or equivalent) for safety-related systems, structures, and components
