Black Box is a global leader in IT solutions, dedicated to shaping the digital backbone of tomorrow. The OSP Project Manager will oversee the construction of a large data center, managing day-to-day operations and ensuring project deliverables and timelines are met.
Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations by applying established PMO standards, processes, and methodologies
- Drive excellence, safety, and innovation on-site — setting new benchmarks for what’s possible in modern data center deployment
Requirements:
- Must be proficient and well-practiced in leveraging information and data in making informed decisions
- Extensive knowledge of Safety protocols, processes and procedures
- Deep understanding of industry specific estimating and engineering best practices
- Ability to identify change events and implement change management best practices
- Knowledge of various construction technology platforms, quality, and safety standards
- Solid understanding of construction accounting principles and cost forecasting
- Able to report and read out project information to all stakeholders as needed or required
- Ability to develop and manage project schedules
- Demonstrated professionalism and ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others
- Ability to work under time constraints and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude
- Strong oral and written communication and organizational skills, including excellent customer service skills
- Ability to effectively present to small and large groups

- Proficient in using a computer and business / industry applications - Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.), Bluebeam, Procore, Textura and others
- Bachelor's Degree Construction Management, Engineering or other related discipline. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the construction industry in management or leadership role. Experience overseeing and managing large structured cabling projects and/or data center construction projects highly preferred
- Experienced in managing all contracting and project delivery methods - lump sum / fixed price, cost plus, GMP, unit price / rate, design-build, time and material
- OSHA-30 Hour certification (if not certified at time of hire, certifications must be obtained within first six (6) months of employment)
- BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD)
- BICSI Registered Telecommunications Project Manager (RTPM)
- PMI Project Management Professional (PMP)
