About this role

The Data Engineer will be responsible for building and supporting high-performance data solutions, monitoring tools, and overcoming complex technical challenges.
Responsibilities:
- Building and supporting high performance data solutions
- Monitoring and responding to our growing network of tools
- Facing and overcoming complex technical challenges
- Developing with the end user’s needs in mind
- Setting up tools to maximize value and minimize headaches for users
- Taking responsibility for your solutions
- Supporting the tools and pipelines you build
- Monitoring them in production and troubleshooting issues when they arise
- Collaborating with team members and product teams to create a great experience for users
Requirements:
- Strong SQL, including data modeling concepts and ETL best practices
- Solid programming skills in Python or Go, and willingness to learn other languages as needed (Groovy, Perl)
- Experience with cloud‑based data engineering (AWS, GCP)
- Experience with tools for large‑scale data migration (Databricks)
- TechOps skills that help you support analytics tools, patch and update platforms, and troubleshoot system issues or failures
- Comfort with the Linux command line and shell scripting
