As a Senior Human Resources Business Partner, you will assess and anticipate HR needs, develop solutions that align HR programs with business objectives, and enhance employee relations and productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic business partnership and coaching to BetterHelp’s managers and leaders
- Develop and maintain an effective working knowledge of BetterHelp’s mid- and long-range plans, its culture, and its competition
- Meet regularly with various department heads to assess and advise on current employee needs
- Work closely with management and employees to continually enhance working relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention
- Build strong relationships with key people in the client group by frequently connecting with them about their concerns and insights
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions) to enhance organizational effectiveness
- Partnering with our legal department as needed, maintaining in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to HR and employee management, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations as needed
- Analyze HR trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and processes
- Provide consultative advice related to business unit restructuring, workforce planning and succession planning
- Assist in driving various HR initiatives: performance management, goal setting, merit reviews and employee career development
Requirements:
- 10+ years' experience as an HR Business Partner
- 6+ years' experience with management coaching
- Previous international exposure/assignment with ability to work across various cultures
- Demonstrable success designing and implementing performance management and employee relations programs
- A people-person mindset, with a natural knack for building relationships and rapport at all levels of an organization
- Experience and effectiveness working with senior leaders and associates that are located remotely
- Ability to work in the US, to travel to our San Jose, California offices up to three times per year and to an additional company offsite
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to provide presentations in a productive, compelling manner
- Natural and effective coaching/mentoring style
- Deep understanding of HR functions, policies, and best practices
- Knowledge of employment/labor law
- Demonstrated project management and change management skills
- The drive of a self-starter, with the ability to lead programs independently
- Business acumen and strong consultative skills
- Strong business ethics
- Experience using Workday and Greenhouse
- Significant international experience supporting employees and leaders across multiple countries
- Hands-on experience using HR systems, automation, or AI-enabled tools to simplify workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve operational effectiveness
