Application Engineer

Calyxis Global Solutions is seeking an experienced Applications Engineer for a remote-based position supporting a global CNC machine tool manufacturer. This role focuses on providing technical application support across advanced CNC machining centers and works closely with customers, sales, and engineering teams.

Responsibilities:

• Engage with customers to understand part requirements and develop optimized machining solutions
• Evaluate part geometries and define machining processes, tooling, and NC programs
• Support pre-sales activities including demos, test cuts, and technical presentations
• Provide post-installation application support, on-site visits, and process optimization
• Collaborate with sales, distributors, and internal engineering teams to drive successful implementations

Requirements:

• Background in CNC programming, manufacturing engineering, or applications engineering
• Strong CAD/CAM experience (NX, Mastercam, Hypermill, or similar)
• Comfortable in customer-facing environments with strong communication skills
• Willingness to travel extensively (domestic and international)
