n8n is an open workflow orchestration platform that aims to democratize automation. They are seeking a Head of Product Marketing to lead their product marketing function, shape the company's positioning, and drive product launches to establish n8n as a leader in AI-powered automation.
Responsibilities:
- Own and evolve n8n’s category and positioning
- Take ownership of the Product Marketing function by building on existing foundations and scaling what already works
- Define and continuously refine where n8n sits beyond 'AI workflow automation' as the market and category mature
- Run positioning experiments that strengthen our messaging with technical and enterprise audiences
- Evolve launches from reactive execution to repeatable GTM motions with consistent quality
- Orchestrate major product and feature launches across Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing with measurable adoption impact
- Increase Product Marketing coverage as R&D teams expand into new pods and releases accelerate over time
- Deepen enterprise storytelling with sales enablement, use-case proof, and analyst-ready positioning
- Establish a competitive intelligence program with regular market snapshots and battlecards
- Drive analyst relations and thought leadership assets (e.g., AI maturity frameworks, benchmarks, category POVs)
- Build trust quickly across Product, Sales, Engineering, and Leadership through strong relationships and clear collaboration
- Set clear ownership areas across the team and establish a management cadence that creates focus and momentum
- Grow the PMM org with specialized roles over time, building toward broader ownership across customer marketing, research, and website strategy
Requirements:
- B2B SaaS product marketing leadership: You have 5–7+ years leading product marketing in B2B SaaS at $50M+ ARR scale
- Category-grade positioning chops: You've led positioning work that changed how a company talks about itself across multiple audiences, not just produced messaging docs
- Technical empathy: You deeply understand developer and technical audiences and can craft messaging that resonates with IT leaders and engineers without needing to be a coder
- Team leadership and growth: You've led and grown PMM teams with 3+ direct reports and know how to set clear ownership and develop people
- Launch orchestration: You've successfully led major launches across Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing and can make them repeatable and high-impact
- High ownership operator: You set direction, move with urgency, and don't wait for permission to drive outcomes
- Category creation experience: You've helped define or redefine a product category and know how to make it real in the market
- Conviction with adaptability: You bring strong opinions on positioning while staying responsive to market signals and internal stakeholder input
- Location fit: You're based in East Coast (US) or Europe
- PLG + enterprise GTM fluency: You're strong in at least one motion (PLG/self-serve or enterprise) and truly understand how the other works when serving both from one product
- Open-source/community background: You've worked in open-source or community-led growth environments and understand how builders adopt and advocate
- PLG-to-enterprise journey: You've been at a company that scaled from PLG into enterprise (Series B to C territory) and know what needs to evolve
- DevRel collaboration: You've worked closely with or managed DevRel teams and understand how they shape narrative and adoption
- Data-informed PMM: You can set and track qualitative and quantitative KPIs that show product marketing impact
- AI/automation context: You have experience with AI/ML products or the automation/orchestration space
