The Project Management Specialist will implement and administer Group Universal and Group Variable Universal Life coverages, ensuring excellent service delivery and driving process improvements for a diverse client portfolio.
Responsibilities:
- Drive implementation from the prospect stage to successful onboarding of new clients into the Group Universal/Variable Universal Life (GUL/GVUL) platform, confirming all components-including enrollment, plan administration, billing, beneficiary services, termination, and life claim facilitation services-are configured and aligned with plan requirements
- Engage with clients to understand their unique challenges and opportunities, collaboratively strategizing to drive impactful outcomes during the implementation process
- Proactively serve as the primary point of contact for client interaction while fostering strong relationship management to ensure seamless and effective support for billing, administration, payment, and enrollment needs
- Represent client interest in internal discussions and enterprise-wide projects, contributing to system enhancements, automation efforts and process redesign initiatives
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders including Product, Compliance, Claims, and IT to ensure smooth execution of administrative tasks, issue resolution, and adherence to regulatory requirements
- Execute issue escalation and resolution protocols through thorough root-cause analysis and clear stake holder communication
- Manage a broad and diverse book of business, supporting employer groups ranging from 100 to a million covered lives
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills with the ability to influence, partner and build trust across stakeholders
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent work ethic with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Self-motivated with intellectual curiosity, a commitment to continuous improvement, and a high level of personal accountability
- Knowledge of Group Insurance and/or Group Universal Life/Group Variable Universal Life products preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of Group Insurance or Financial Services experience
- Experience working directly with vendors, sales, and brokers in a client-facing or project management capacity
