Design Pickle is a growing company seeking a Product Marketing Director to lead their Product Marketing team. This role involves defining product positioning, leading go-to-market execution, and collaborating with various departments to enhance the company's creative platform.
Responsibilities:
- Own the positioning, messaging, and core narrative for Design Pickle’s creative workflow platform (otherwise known as Jar)
- Define and lead a phased go-to-market strategy from pre-launch planning through launch, adoption, and iteration
- Apply product-led growth principles pragmatically within a hybrid services and sales-assisted environment
- Establish clear value propositions across key personas, including requestors, creators, and operational stakeholders
- Lead the creation of product-focused content, use cases, and enablement materials that drive adoption and engagement
- Partner with Sales and Customer Success to support sales-assisted onboarding and complex implementation motions
- Translate customer outcomes into proof points and stories that support both services revenue and product growth
- Serve as a strategic partner to Product and Creative leadership to align roadmap priorities, messaging, and launch execution
- Manage and mentor a Product Marketing Specialist, setting direction, priorities, and standards while staying actively involved in execution
- Define success metrics related to adoption, engagement, and product performance, using insights to continuously refine go-to-market strategy
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Product Marketing within B2C, prosumer, ecommerce, SaaS, or platform-adjacent businesses
- Proven experience owning and leading go-to-market strategy for major product launches or platform expansions
- Prior experience launching or scaling a SaaS product within an established services or hybrid services business
- Experience with marketing AI-powered and data-driven products, with the ability to translate technical capabilities into clear customer value and differentiation
- Experience leading or navigating significant product or business model transitions, such as services to software, replatforming, or major product evolution
- Strong practical understanding of product-led growth, with experience shaping and operationalizing phased or hybrid PLG strategies across acquisition, activation, and expansion
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in fast-changing, ambiguous environments while balancing strategy with execution
- Strong cross-functional leadership skills across Product, Marketing, Sales, Growth, and Customer Success
- Excellent positioning, messaging, and storytelling capabilities grounded in real customer outcomes
- Experience building, mentoring, or managing product marketing talent
- Experience with freemium or usage-based products is strongly preferred
- Experience with workflow, marketplace, or multi-user collaboration products
- Background in technology-enabled services or hybrid services and software business models
