Mercer Advisors is a leading financial services firm dedicated to helping families simplify their financial lives through integrated services. They are seeking a Director of Product Management to lead the Opportunity Engine, focusing on translating business needs into impactful product capabilities while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
- Own the Opportunity Engine roadmap from discovery through delivery
- Define requirements for growth action types from Share of Wallet to referral
- Make decisions on scope, sequencing, and tradeoffs with clarity and speed
- Partner daily with engineering, design, data, and business stakeholders
- Run agile ceremonies and ensure your pod has what they need to deliver
- Coordinate across Technology, Business Intelligence, Sales, and Field Enablement teams
- Manage relationships with external partners
- Integrate AI capabilities into advisor workflows to drive growth
- Use data and machine learning to drive recommendation
- Leverage AI to make yourself and your team more effective at building
- Define success metrics and track progress toward client excellence and net revenue retention goals
- Partner with BI to build dashboards that show pipeline health by advisor, market, and division
- Continuously improve based on pilot feedback and usage data
Requirements:
- 7+ years in product management, ideally in financial services, wealth management, or B2B SaaS
- Track record of shipping products that integrate with existing systems and workflows
- Experience working in or leading cross-functional pods (engineering, design, data)
- Experience managing multiple products at the same time
- Strong ability to translate complex business processes into clear product requirements
- Comfort with AI concepts and how to apply them to user-facing products
- Experience building and managing AI agents
- Data fluency—you can define metrics, interpret dashboards, and make decisions from data
- Excellent communication across technical and non-technical audiences
- Bias toward action while delivering great products
- Comfortable with ambiguity and competing priorities
- User-obsessed—you start with advisor pain points and work backward
