Sensata Technologies is a company focused on driving growth in the data center market. The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and expanding customer and partner opportunities while collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate customer requirements into commercial opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Oversees new account development within an established geographic territory/product line
- Advises on connecting, contacting, and engaging new potential clients and prospects
- Leads a strong and consistent pipeline of new business
- Oversees customer needs and suggest appropriate products and services
- Innovates and create sales skills and knowledge of the organization's products, services and customers
- Oversees implementing efficiency opportunities such as distributor dashboards, etc
- Travel international and domestic about 50%
- Represent the company at key market events
Requirements:
- A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience
- Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
- Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
- Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
- Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
- Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
- Travel international and domestic about 50%
- Represent the company at key market events
- Deep knowledge of power electronics and data center infrastructure to translate customer needs—such as efficiency, redundancy, grid interaction, and scalability—into practical, compliant solutions
- Able to use technical influence to play a key part in enabling customer adoption and supporting growth within the data center market
