The Executive Account Manager will develop relationships with key decision-makers in public safety, drive sales strategies, and manage large project opportunities in a competitive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop strong, trusted advisor relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within and outside of public safety: Mayor, CIO, and other elected officials in order to understand and influence funding
- Interact with senior customer level and consultants/lobbyists; work independently under limited direction
- Maintain target customer intelligence data in Motorola Solutions CRM system; provide timely & accurate sales forecast
- Drive strategies with government customers for Motorola Solutions success in the bid environment
- Network with key Motorola Solution’s work partners including presales engineers, area services team, marketing, product management, sales operations, and order/credit management to ensure your territory objectives are met
- Leverage territory promotions and incentives to drive current quarter revenue targets
- Be aware of competition and technology disruptors that may impact your territory and partner community
- Understand Motorola Solutions contract terms & compliance requirements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred with 4+ years of documented track record of sales performance within a technology environment
- Effective and proven negotiation skills
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with C-Level executives
- Strong relationship management skills
- Highly effective communication skills (oral, written, & presentation)
- Ability to drive strategies with government customers for Motorola success in the bid environment
- Understanding of public safety domain, Motorola Solutions portfolio, competitive landscape, customer procurement processes, and has dealt effectively with political decision-making landscapes
- Ability to quickly learn Salesforce as the project reporting tool and forecast method
- Remote-based position and must be willing to travel 60%+ throughout the Southeast
- Ability to negotiate large contracts and interact with C-level executives
- Drive and accelerate deals and their timelines
- Manage lobbyists, their budgets, and strategic giving plans
- Bachelor's Degree is preferred with 4+ years of sales/public safety experience
- OR 8+ years of sales/public safety experience
