Fanatics is building a next-generation financial services platform designed for sports fans. They are seeking a Founding Product Designer to lead the product design of zero-to-one financial services products, focusing on design leadership, team development, and execution.
Responsibilities:
- Define and own the product design vision and strategy for the Fanatics Credit Card and supporting products
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Data teams to bring innovative ideas to life while ensuring cohesive, fan-focused experiences
- Establish and scale design systems, processes, and best practices across teams
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing product design team
- Foster a culture of creativity, innovation, and user-centered design
- Provide clear career development paths, coaching, and feedback to help designers grow
- Oversee end-to-end design execution for high-priority initiatives, from discovery through delivery
- Ensure designs are informed by user research, data insights, and usability testing
- Drive quality, consistency, and accessibility in design outputs across platforms (web, mobile, retail touchpoints)
- Act as a key partner to executive leadership, influencing product roadmaps and business priorities through design thinking
- Communicate design strategy and impact effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Champion the voice of the customer across the organization
Requirements:
- 12+ years of product design experience, with at least 5 years in design leadership roles
- Proven experience scaling design teams and systems in a fast-paced, high-growth digital environment
- Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end design leadership on consumer-facing digital products (sports, gaming, or entertainment a plus)
- Deep understanding of UX/UI best practices, design thinking, and user research methods
- Experience collaborating closely with Product and Engineering to drive measurable business outcomes
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and leadership skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
