Prosperity Life is focused on product development for its annuity and life insurance portfolio, and they are seeking a Senior Product Development Business Analyst. This role involves managing product requirements, documentation, and cross-functional coordination to ensure timely and effective product delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Preliminary Product Offering (PPO) documents that translate product concepts into structured specifications
- Support and contribute to Business Requirements Document (BRD) development, ensuring requirements are clear, complete, and aligned with approved product design
- Maintain requirements traceability and documentation accuracy throughout development, testing, launch, and post-launch changes
- Coordinate activities and information flow across Actuarial, Legal, Compliance, IT, Operations, and third-party administrators
- Support tollgate reviews, decision tracking, and approval coordination across the product development lifecycle
- Track risks, dependencies, and action items, escalating issues as needed to support delivery timelines
- Assist with contract development and administration activities, including drafting supporting documentation and coordinating reviews
- Track responses, approvals, and execution status, helping to resolve delays or outstanding items
- Support alignment between contract terms, product specifications, and implementation timelines
- Support coordination of regulatory filing activities, including tracking state filing and approval status
- Assist with responses to DOI inquiries and monitor approval timelines
- Support launch readiness and post-launch execution by maintaining product documentation, supporting operational questions, and coordinating updates or enhancements as products move into steady-state administration
- Identify opportunities to improve product development processes, documentation standards, and cross-functional coordination
- Contribute to the development of repeatable templates, tools, and institutional knowledge to support scalability
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of annuity and/or life insurance products, features, and regulatory requirements
- Experience in business analysis, product development, or product implementation within the insurance industry
- Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality business and technical documentation
- Ability to work effectively across multiple functions and with external partners
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
